Jet- cap

Suppressing energy loss and realizing efficient navigation
The hub vortex generated at the rear end of the propeller boss cap causes energy loss.
By equipping with JET-Cap, the propeller wake is streamlined, and the hub vortex is diffused, thereby suppressing energy loss.
Features
- By attaching an optimal cap and fins tailored to the propeller shape, the negative pressure region at the cap39;s rear end is converted to positive pressure.
- By recovering the rotational flow of the propeller boss, the required torque for shaft rotation is reduced.
- Fins are made of GFRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic), which is lightweight and highly durable.
- Even if damaged, only the affected fin can be individually replaced, providing excellent maintainability.
Structure and Installation
- The fins are bolted to the boss cap.
- After screwing the bronze boss cap onto the shaft nut, the fins are fitted onto the nut part with the specified torque to complete the installation.
