World-Class X-Ray CT Technology Developed Through CFRP Propeller Innovation

At Nakashima Propeller, while advancing the development and manufacturing of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) propellers, we introduced one of the world’s largest X-ray CT scanning systems—an essential technology for inspecting internal defects and ensuring quality.
This state-of-the-art system can accommodate large objects up to 3,400 mm in diameter and 3,400 mm in height. It allows us to “see” the internal structure without causing any damage, making it a powerful tool for analysis.
Currently, we also offer CT scanning services for a wide range of applications beyond propellers.

These include research, development, inspections, and even cultural heritage investigations.
